A trio of volleyball players picked up their first Conference USA Player of the Week honors. Tulsa's Kellie Culbertson was named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging a double-double and accounting for 3.83 kills and 4.00 digs per set. She hit .467 (23K-2E-45TA) to lead the Golden Hurricane to a pair of sweeps in Florida to remain undefeated at 5-0 in league play. Senior Shelby Beasley was tabbed as C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after guiding the Pirates to a 2-1 record and accounting for 5.92 digs per set and 71 total for the week. Rice's redshirt freshman Sara Blasier was voted Setter of the Week for her 12.57 assists per set average and 88 total helpers in the Owls' conference wins over Marshall and Charlotte.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KELLIE CULBERTSON, TULSA | 5-11, SR., OH | LONG BEACH, CALIF.
Culbertson recorded two double-doubles, averaged 3.83 kills, 4.00 digs, 0.67 service aces, 0.67 blocks and 4.92 points per set to lead Tulsa to two sweeps in Florida last weekend to remain undefeated in Conference USA play. For the six sets, she accounted for 23 kills, four service aces, 29.5 points and had a .467 hitting percentage. She recorded 12 kills on 24 attempts without an error for a .500 hitting efficiency at Florida Atlantic Friday. The outside hitter scored 14 points for the match and added 11 digs and three blocks. Culbertson recorded 11 kills, 13 digs, four aces, 15.5 points and had a .429 hitting percentage at FIU Sunday. The Long Beach, Calif., native also recorded her 1,000th career kill against the Panthers. This is Culbertson's first career Offensive Player of the Week honor and Tulsa's third of the year (Sept. 9 & 30).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SHELBY BEASLEY, EAST CAROLINA | 5-4, SR., L | WINTER PARK, FLA.
Beasley paced the defense for East Carolina as she helped the Pirates to a 2-1 record. She finished the week averaging 5.92 digs per set and totaling 71 digs for the week. The senior notched 12 digs in a 3-0 win at Charleston Southern, followed by tying a career high and setting a school record with 34 digs in a five set win over Louisiana Tech. Beasley finished the week with a match-high 25 digs against Tulane. On the year, the Winter Park, Fla., native leads the team with 292 digs for an average of 3.79 per set, 12th-best in the league. She owns 1,231 career digs which is good for fourth in the ECU record book and just 15 shy of third place. This is her first career Defensive Player of the week honor.
SETTER OF THE WEEK
SARA BLASIER, RICE | 6-1, R-FR. | HARTFORD, WISC.
Blasier directed the Rice offense with an average of 12.57 assists per set and 88 helpers for the week. Offensively, she posted 11 kills without any errors on 17 attacks for a .647 hitting percentage. The redshirt freshman notched four kills on six attacks with three blocks and 53 assists in Rice's four-set win against Marshall Friday. She also led the team to a season-high .450 hitting percentage against the Thundering Herd. Blasier added seven kills on 11 attempts with 35 assists and two blocks at the net in Sunday's sweep over Charlotte. This is her first career Setter of the Week honor.
