Marshall knocked off Coastal Carolina 3-0 in the second match of the East Carolina Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C. to extend its win streak to seven matches. The Herd is 18-1 in sets for its past six matches and is looking for its third tournament championship title after winning its own Thunder Invite as well as the Kent State Mizuno Tournament.
Memphis opened the Tiger Invitational with victories over Illinois-Chicago (3-2) and Belmont (3-1).
SMU's Courtney Manning collected three blocks against Oklahoma to move into eighth place with 502 total career blocks on Conference USA's all-time blocks list.
