Senior DS Shelby Beasley dished out 12 digs and senior OH Nicole Willis knocked down a match-high 12 kills against East Tennessee State to close out the Wake Forest Deacon Invitational. Beasley was named to the All-Tournament team as she turned in a consistent performance all weekend.

RS junior OH Ksenia Sukhareva committed just three errors in 27 total attempts for a solid .402 clip. Sophomore S Ashlee Hodgskin led the Panthers with 15 assists, while freshman S Anabela Sataric chipped in with 14 helpers.
FAU 3, Bethune-Cookman 0 [25-17, 25-22, 25-17]
Sophomore MB Jennifer St. Sume and Junior RS Alessia Pizzoccheri earned FAU Invitational All-Tournament honor. Pizzoccheri had a double-double with 11 kills and 18 digs, while sophomore S Jelena Jovanovic recorded her 1,000 career assist in the win over Bethune-Cookman.

Junior OH Rebecca Redgen represented Louisiana Tech on the UTA Hilton Invitational All-Tournament team after totaling 34 kills over the course of three matches this weekend.

Freshman MB Ally Kiekover was named to the Jefferson Cup All-Tournament Team after leading the Herd in hitting percentage .447. She also collected 25 kills and averaged 2.08 kills per set, while topping the club in blocks with eight, two solo and four assisted.
Sophomore OH Chelsea Ross paced the Blue Raiders offense as she averaged 4.42 kills per set and finished with 53 kills in tournament action. She also recorded 27 digs (2.25/s). Junior L Kendall Howard was the defensive stopper as she tallied 45 digs and averaged 3.75 per set for tournament play. Ross and Howard were named to the Blue Raider Bash All-Tournament Team.

Sophomore OH Carnae Dillard led the Mean Green in opening weekend action as she tallied 29 kills, 28 digs, collected five blocks. Senior OH Courtney Windham followed with 22 kills on 55 attempts with only four errors in nine sets for a .327 hitting efficiency. Windham also collected 12 blocks (3 solo, 9 assisted). North Texas went 2-1 on the day at the Loyola Marymount Invitational.
Cal State Northridge 3, Rice 2 [25-23,19-25,24-26,25-16,15-13] Santa Clara 3, Rice 1 [25-12,19-25,25-17,26-24]
Junior MB Jillian Humphrey led the Owls with 18 kills and a hitting percentage of .483 against Cal State Northridge. She had five blocks, and one solo block, moving her into a tie for eighth all-time at Rice. Rice played a five-set match for the second straight day. The Owls (0-3) won five sets in the tournament, but fell to three squads that won 19+ matches in 2012 and were ranked in the top 100 of the RPI. Freshman OH Stephanie Mendivil landed 15 kills and hit .368 against Santa Clara, her first collegiate match. R-Sophomore Noelle Whitlock (12) and Humphrey (10) reached double figures in kills as well. Humphrey reached double figures in kills every match this tournament which earned to Fresno State All-Tournament Team honors.

Southern Miss split matches on Saturday in the Southern Miss Invitational to finish with a 2-1 record. Mary Pursell and Jasmine Crowell were named to the all-tournament team after solid performances.
Tulane won the Kathy Trosclair Memorial Tournament inside Devlin Fieldhouse with wins over Mississippi Valley State, Rider, Nicholls State. The freshmen were the talk of the tournament, as the top three Green Wave kill leaders were all rookies. In the final match of the tournament against Nicholls State, OH Tea Juric posted a team-high 16 kills, while MB Sarah Strasner recorded 13 and OH Annie Shurtz notched 10. Juric also managed 13 digs, while junior L/OH Grace Weaver led the team with 14 against NSU. Senior S Mel Mandelbaum and Strasner were named to the All-Tournament Team, while freshman Shurtz was voted MVP.
Senior OH Kellie Culbertson and junior OH Valerie El Houssine were named to the Dayton Invitational All-Tournament Team as both of the players combined to record five double-doubles. Culbertson and El Houssine led the team during the tournament with 37 kills each, a 3.08 kills per set. Culbertson added 43 digs, a 3.58 digs per set and eight service aces, a 0.67 service aces per set. She also recorded three double-doubles during the tournament and the 36th of her career. El Houssine led the team with 48 digs, a 4.00 digs per set. The transfer from University of South Florida recorded two double-doubles.
UAB 3, Presbyterian 0 [25-15,25-22,25-14] UAB 3, Jacksonville State 1 [25-23,21-25,25-18,25-16]
Middle blockers Sara Rishell and Kiriana Hirini led the team in kills with 22 and 18 respectively against Jacksonville. Both set new career-highs in kills while at UAB. Also recording double-digit kills was sophomore Sam Skinner with 14. Skinner hit double-digit kills in three of the four matches this weekend.

Senior MB Xitlali Herrera led UTEP with 10 kills and one error for a hitting percentage of .375. Sophomore Sophomore OH Talia Jones followed with 10 kills against defending national champion Texas at the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.
(RV) San Diego State 3, UTSA 1 [25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19] UTSA 3, UC Davis 1 [25-21,25-23,23-25,25-18]
Senior OH McKenzie Adams recorded her third double-double of the weekend with 23 kills and 18 digs, while junior OH Dempsey Thornton added 14 as UTSA topped UC Davis in the LSU Tigers Classic finale. Adams finished with 104 kills, 6.50 kills per set, 68 digs and a .318 hitting efficiency. Sophomore L Annie Kunes averaged 6.31 digs for set and tallied 101 for the weekend. Leading the offensive was Brandy Huskey with 186 assists, 11.62 per set.
