The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, was designed to honor collegiate and high school volleyball teams which displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year.
The 2012 C-USA volleyball season is set to open on August 24 as all 12 teams will be participating in various tournaments. After a two-year absence, the league welcomes back its postseason championship which is set for Nov. 16-18 in Tulsa, Okla.
