Lady Tigers Fall In First Round of Doubles

	Freshman Stefanie Mikesz will take the court again with partner Courtney Collins on Wednesday morning after falling to Illinois, 9-7.

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.--The Lady Tigers fell in their first match of the qualifying doubles draw at the 2010 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships on Tuesday.

Sophomore Courtney Collins and freshman Stefanie Mikesz came out battling and we're up 5-0 and 6-3 during the match against Chelcie Abajian and Breanne Smutko (Illinois), but were ultimately edged out, 9-7.

"We didn't stay disciplined and do the things we know to do with the lead, " said head coach Lee Taylor Walker. "We learned a lot from this match and hopefully it will show up tomorrow."

The Memphis tandem will take on a pair from Wake Forest on Wednesday morning in the first of five potential matches in order for them to win the back draw.
