GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina athletic officials have announced changes to this weekend’s Pirate Softball Classic schedule because of the forecast of inclement weather Saturday. The tournament will now feature five games on Friday, Feb. 27, with the first beginning at 9 a.m. The Pirates are slated to play at 3 p.m. against Towson before meeting Fordham at 5 p.m.

Because significant rainfall is predicted for the Greenville area Saturday, there is a possibility for further changes to the schedule. All efforts will be made to play Saturday’s games as originally scheduled, but if field conditions are determined unplayable, there will be four contests Sunday.
