ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team was honored with the NSCAA Team Academic Award in recognition of earning a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2011-12 academic school year. The 2012 Conference USA Tournament champions combined for a GPA of 3.12.

The Knights consistently shine in the classroom as 20 members of the 2012 team earned C-USA Academic Honor Roll distinction this past spring. Seniors Tishia Jewell, Nicolette Radovcic, Andrea Rodrigues and Bianca Joswiak were all named to the conference's All-Academic Teams earlier this month.

Jewell, a Senior CLASS Award finalist, was the fan favorite in the online poll, which ended Monday, by claiming 24.18 percent of the vote with 28,616 votes. The online poll counts for one-third of the consideration in determining the recipient of the award. The winner will be announced during the College Cup championship Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
