Tulsa (12-5-4) advances to the 2012 title game after a dramatic penalty shootout (5-4) decided a very tight game 1-1 semifinal match with top-seeded Colorado College Friday. Senior defender Kelly Browne scored for the fifth-seeded Golden Hurricane. TU defeated No. 4 seed East Carolina, 1-0, in overtime in the quarterfinals. No. 20 UCF (16-4-1) clinched its berth to the Conference USA Championship game with its 2-0 win over seventh-seeded SMU Friday d. With the victory, the Knights claimed the school record for shutouts (14) and advanced to the title game for the fourth time since joining C-USA in 2005. Junior Kristina Trujic scored both UCF goals. The Knights advanced to the semis with another shutout, eliminating five-time defending conference champion Memphis 2-0 in the quarterfinals. Tulsa and UCF teams met in the regular season on October 5 when UCF was ranked eighth nationally. The Knights won 2-0 in the match, which was played at the UCF Soccer Complex.
