IRVING, Texas - Southern Miss senior forward Sarah McFadden was selected by the Conference USA coaches to the All-Conference Second Team as announced by the league office this afternoon.

"This is a well deserved honor for Sarah," head coach Scott Ebke said. "She has worked hard all year and I am glad the coaches in our conference awarded her this honor. She had a great career here at Southern Miss and will be missed in the future."

McFadden leaves Southern Miss as one of the top players in school history. Her name can be found thought the Southern Miss career record book after her brilliant four year career with the Golden Eagles. She is third all-time in goals scored with 20 career goals, fifth all-time in career points with 48, second all-time in shots attempted with 226, second all-time in shots on goal with 94.

She was only the second player in school history to earn pre-season All-Conference USA honors this season and the first Golden Eagle to ever earn first -team All-C-USA honors last season. She led the team with eight points this season including three goals, two of which were the game winners. She took 93 shots this season which was the most in C-USA and also assisted two goals this season.

2008 marks the third consecutive year in which she earned either first or second team all-conference honors in addition to earning freshman all-conference honors in 2005. She is the only player in school history to earn recognition from the conference in all four years of her eligibility.
