Marshall picked up a 1-0 double overtime win against East Carolina to secure the final bid in the 2010 C-USA Women's Soccer Championship. The Thundering Herd is making its first tournament appearance. This year's championship will be held Nov. 3-7 at the UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Memphis defeated UAB, 2-1, to secure a first-round bye in the tournament, along with host UCF. SMU and Tulsa played to a 1-1 tie.
Three more regular-season matches are scheduled for Friday night, so a championship bracket will be released following those games.

C-USA WOMEN'S SOCCER SHOOTING STARS
Marshall junior F Megan Tabler (Ashland, Ky.) notched the game-winner at 105:43 as the Thundering Herd grabbed a 1-0 double-overtime victory against East Carolina and earned its first C-USA Championship berth.
Memphis senior F Ashley Berra (Cordova, Tenn.) and freshman Rasheeda Ansari (Lithonia, Ga.) scored for the Tigers as they defeated UAB, 2-1.
UAB junior F Carolyn Polcari (Richardson, Texas) tallied her eighth goal of the season and senior GK Kate Blankenship (Macon, Ga.) matched her career-high with 12 saves against Memphis. Blankenship, the reigning C-USA Defensive Player of the Week, finished her career with a school record 339 saves. UAB head coach Paul Harbin coached his final match for the Green and Gold as he plans to retire.
SMU and Tulsa played to a 1-1 tie. Sophomore Stephanie Aitken (Tulsa, Okla.) put Tulsa on the board quickly as she drilled in a goal from 18 yards out at the 3:57 mark, giving the Golden Hurricane the early advantage.
SMU sophomore F Kenzie Scovill (Lewisville, Texas) forced the game into overtime as she headed in a cross from classmate Shelby Hartweck (Grapevine, Texas) with just eight seconds remaining in regulation.
