UCF and Colorado College secured their bids to the 2012 C-USA Women's Soccer Championship with wins Friday night. The Knights had their biggest offensive output since 2004 with a 7-0 shutout of visiting East Carolina. Six different Knights scored, with a multi-goal performance from Tishia Jewell. Colorado College went on the road to pick up a 3-1 victory at Houston.
The pair joined Rice, who had earned its championship berth last week and won again Friday. The Owls shutout UTEP, 1-0, with a goal from reigning C-USA Offensive Player of the Week Lauren Hughes.
Tulsa and Marshall also posted shutout wins against Memphis and Southern Miss, respectively. SMU defeated UAB, 3-1, as the Mustangs moved into a tie for fourth place in the C-USA standings.
