UCF sophomore forward Jennifer Martin scored two goals for the Knights in wins over in-state rivals USF and Florida Gulf Coast to earn the first C-USA Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2012 season. Tulsa senior goalkeeper Katie Bykowski was named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week after posting her 20th career shutout in a 3-0 non-conference win against Weber State in Friday's season opener.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JENNIFER MARTIN, UCF
Sophomore, F, Naples, Fla.

Martin tallied two goals over the opening weekend as UCF started off its season 2-0 for the first time since joining Conference USA. In Friday's season opener, she scored the first goal of the game by capitalizing off a PK. The Knights defeated USF, 3-1, on the road and earned their seventh-straight win over their intrastate rival. Martin then scored the second goal in UCF's 4-0 win at reigning A-Sun champion Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday. She started both games, clocking 128 minutes over the weekend, and was the only UCF player to score in both matches. This is Martin's first C-USA Player of the Week honor.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KATIE BYKOWSKI, TULSA
Senior, GK, Tulsa, Okla.

Bykowski logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up her 20th career shutout as Tulsa defeated visiting Weber State, 3-0, in Friday's season opener. She recorded three saves in the contest for 250 in her career. Bykowski already owns the school record for goalkeeper saves and goals-against average (1.16), and is second in goalkeeper shutouts. This is her second career C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honor, as she also received the award in 2009.
