UCF junior defender Marissa Diggs and Colorado College sophomore midfielder Jessie Ayers added more honors to their resumes Friday as the pair was named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-America Second Team.
The No. 18 UCF women's soccer team ended its season on Friday night with a 1-0 loss to Florida in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Knights finished the year with a 17-5-2 record, their first Conference USA Tournament championship and the school and conference record for shutouts (15).
No. 18 UCF kicked off the NCAA Tournament with a bang Friday night as the Knights rallied from a 1-0 deficit to eliminate Miami (Fla.) from the first round. After tying the match, 1-1, and playing through the two overtime periods, UCF took penalty kicks, 5-3.
