IRVING, Texas - This past week concluded the final week of the fall season for the Conference USA golf squads. Only two squads were in action, which included the Memphis men at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate and the Tulsa women at the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational.

Memphis carded a three-round total of 902 (301-299-302) and finished tied for eighth place in the 16-team field. This marks the Tigers fourth-consecutive top-10 finish as a team. Memphis was led by Jack Belote, who carded a 7-over-par 223 and finished for a share of 21st place.

Tulsa finished the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational tied for seventh place in the 18-team field after posting a 902 (298-303-301). The Golden Hurricane were anchored by Kristinia Merkle, who carded an even-par 216 and finished tied for fifth place.

Conference USA had a competitive fall season. Combined, the women's teams tallied 15 Top-3 finishes, while the men tallied 12, respectively. As for tournament titles, the men tallied five, two by SMU, and the women registered two.

Conference USA golf will enjoy a few months off until the UTEP men's squad tees off the spring schedule Feb. 1-2 at the Arizona Invitational.
