IRVING, Texas -

The Memphis women shared the Memphis Women’s Fall Invitational title last week, marking the 11th tournament that Conference USA schools (men and women) have combined to win this fall. A full schedule for C-USA schools is on tap this week in what will be the final competition of the fall for the majority of the league teams.

C-USA teams have impressed this fall and their results have earned lofty recognition in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings as six men’s teams are rated in the nation’s top 50 this week, including three in the top 30.  UCF tops the C-USA contingent at No. 15, with UAB checking in at No. 21 and Tulsa claiming the No. 30 position.  Memphis (39), SMU (45) and East Carolina (46) round out the C-USA top 50 squads.

Four women’s teams also hold places in the Golfweek/Sagarin top 50, led by No. 38 Tulsa.  UCF (44), East Carolina (47) and Tulane (48) also boast top 50 marks.

Individually, 16 C-USA men’s players and eight women’s golfers are ranked among the top 200 golfers this week in the Golfweek individual rankings.
