IRVING, Texas – Conference USA champion Tulsa will be joined by East Carolina, UCF and Tulane at the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals, May 10-12, as announced today by the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee. This is the fifth straight season C-USA has sent at least three teams to NCAA Regional play.

Tulsa is making its 33rd national tournament appearance and, in the 20 years of the NCAA regional format, is making its 17th regional and fifth in a row. East Carolina also will make its fifth straight Regional appearance, while Tulane will make its fourth straight NCAA appearance. UCF earned its 11th NCAA berth in school history.

Tulsa is ranked No. 39 by Golfweek and will compete in the West Regional at the Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colo. In Columbus, Ohio, at-large selection No. 54 East Carolina will compete in the Central Regional. No. 36 UCF was an at-large selection, as was No. 34 Tulane. Both UCF and Tulane will play in the East Regional in State College, Pa.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2012 Division I Women’s Golf Regionals.

Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 10-12 to determine the championships field. Regional tournaments are considered preliminary rounds of NCAA championships competition, and all national championships policies apply.

A total of 378 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.

The championships finals will be held May 22-25 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., and will be hosted by Vanderbilt. The regional sites and the selected teams and individuals are listed below.

East Regional
The East regional will be played at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa., and will be hosted by Penn State. Conference automatic qualifiers are indicated in parenthesis next to the school.
