IRVING, Texas – SMU senior Max Buckley is this week’s Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week after capturing the individual title at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. The C-USA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships tee off this week in Texarkana, Ark., and Gulf Shores, Ala., respectively. The men’s championship begins April 22, while the women’s event begins April 23.

C-USA Men’s Golfer of the Week - Max Buckley, SMU, Sr., Rye, N.Y.

In one of his final tournaments as a Mustang, Max Buckley came away with the first individual title of his career at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio. With a birdie on the 16th hole, the senior moved into sole possession of first place at 7-over par (73-74-73=220), and wrapped up the win with pars on the final two holes. Buckley led the Mustangs to second place finish, one shot behind No. 20 Kent State.
