IRVING, Texas - Tulsa senior Marita Engzelius has been named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week after a runner-up finish at the BancorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate. Sophomore Harry Higgs of SMU shot five-under at The Woodlands All-American Intercollegiate and is this week's C-USA Men's Golfer of the Week.

C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week - Marita Engzelius, Tulsa, Sr., Oslo, Norway
In a field of 87 golfers at the BancorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate, Engzelius finished in second place, just one stroke behind the individual medalist Jaclyn Jansen of Baylor. She carded rounds of 75-67-69 for a five-under par score of 211. After five bogeys in her first round, Engzelius went the next 36 holes with nine birdies and just one bogey to close out the tournament shooting eight-under par in the final two rounds. She has now finished among the top-25 for the seventh time in eight tournaments this year. This is Engzelius' third Golfer of the Week honor of her career and first of the season.

C-USA Men's Golfer of the Week - Harry Higgs, SMU, So., Overland Park, Kan.

Higgs registered five birdies during the final round of play to finish five-under at The Woodlands All-American Intercollegiate. The sophomore finished in sixth place individually against a field that included six top 45 teams and just one stroke behind a three-way tie for third. He made three birdies on his first six holes of the final round. His third-round 69 earned him his second top-10 finish of the season and best result of his career. For the tournament, Higgs shot a career-low 211 (70-72-69). The award is the first of Higgs' career.
