IRVING, Texas - Houston will play its final contest of 2012 against Texas Tech at 2 p.m., on Sunday at United Spirit Arena. The game will be shown live on Fox Sports SW with David Thetford and Sheryl Swoopes on the call. The Cougars (5-6), who will play their first regular season contest in Lubbock since defeating the Lady Raiders 66-63 on Dec. 4, 2007, will face a Texas Tech squad that is currently undefeated (7-0) at home. Houston returned from a two-week layoff to defeat Texas State by a score of 74-61 on Dec. 22, as guards Alecia Smith and Porsche Landry combined for 45 points to lead the Cougars.

Saturday action saw Conference USA picking up three home victories as East Carolina, Memphis and Tulane were victories.

East Carolina (9-3) toppled Elon, 71-64, at Minges Coliseum. Senior Whitny Edwards recorded a season-high 18 points, while twin sister Britny Edwards tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Memphis (7-5) defeated Missouri in dramatic fashion, 72-69, at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Senior Nicole Dickson sank a jumper with 0.4 on the clock to give Memphis its first win over a Southeastern Conference Opponent since 2003. The Memphis win also snaps a seven-game winning streak for Missouri and gives the Tigers their fourth straight victory. Dickson finished with a game-best 28 points.

Redshirt-sophomore Whitney Bibbins scored a team-high 18 points as Tulane (9-2) opened the 17th Annual Tulane/DoubleTree Classic with a 71-65 win over Eastern Michigan in Devlin Fieldhouse.
