IRVING, Texas - SMU and UCF picked up home wins Wednesday night while Memphis earned a road victory. The Mustangs defeated Stephen F. Austin, 71-62, behind a solid performance from junior guard Keena Mays who scored 33 points in 34 minutes of action. The Mustangs stand at 8-2 on the season. The Knights rallied from 18 down to steal a one-point victory over South Alabama, 55-54. Freshman guard Briahanna Jackson led the way with 17 points. Memphis earned its fifth win of the season with a 65-58 victory over host Saint Louis. The Tigers got 21 points from the bench.

East Carolina pushed No. 17 North Carolina but due to turnovers the Pirates suffered a 76-67 loss to the Tar Heels at the Beach Ball Classic inside the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Tulane also experienced its second loss of the season as the Green Wave played its second consecutive overtime game but lost 65-64 to Louisiana-Lafayette.

 Memphis 65, at Saint Louis 58  Sophomore G Lauren McGraw chipped in a career-high 11 points, while sophomore P Ann Jones added eight second half points and junior P KK Harvey finished with eight rebounds, including six offensive in the win. Memphis (5-5) got 21 points from the bench.
 at SMU 71, Stephen F. Austin 62  Junior G Keena Mays scored 33 points in 34 minutes of action as SMU (8-2) won its fifth straight home game. Mays recorded her second straight game with at least 20 points, becoming the first player since Delisha Wills had back-to-back 20-point games in December 2010, and 33 points, tied for ninth in a game, is the most by a Mustang since D-dra Rucker had 33 on Jan. 28, 2001.
 at UCF 55, South Alabama 54  Freshman Briahanna Jackson paced the Knights (4-8) with 17 points for her fifth-straight game in double figures as UCF overcame an 18-point deficit in the final eight minutes of action.
 vs. #17 North Carolina 76, East Carolina 67  Senior G Whitny Edwards scored a team-high 15 points and had five rebounds at the Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Senior twin sister Britny Edwards added 12 points and six boards for ECU (8-3). Senior G Celeste Stewart concluded the game with 10 points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds.
 Louisiana-Lafayette 65, at Tulane 64 OT  Redshirt-sophomore forward Whitney Bibbins scored a career-high 25 points for the Green Wave (7-2). The Green Wave led by as many as 15 in the first half, and were on top in the waning seconds of both regulation and overtime.
