IRVING, Texas - Old Dominion junior Shae Kelley wins her first Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor after averaging a double-double of 25.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. She also shot 56.4 percent from the field while the team secured a +29.0 scoring margin in wins over UMass Lowell and Maryland Eastern Shore last week. Picking up her second-consecutive Freshman of the Week accolade is Louisiana Tech's JaQuan Jackson . She averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Kelley recorded doubles-doubles and led the Lady Monarchs to victories over UMass Lowell and Maryland Eastern Shore last week. She averaged 25 points, 14.5 rebounds and shot 56.4 percent from the floor, while the team produced a +29.0 scoring margin for the two games. Kelley was named the Cox Communications Player of the Game in both contest. In front of a school record setting crowd of 8,086, she scored 26 points, hauled in 16 boards and shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the floor against UMass Lowell. Three days later, Kelly netted 24 points, had 13 rebounds and hit 55.0 percent (11-of-20) of her shots vs. Maryland Eastern Shore. In all, the junior racked up 50 points and 29 rebounds and has now tallied four consecutive games with a double-double. She's one of three C-USA players averaging a double-double as she leads the team in points (17.7), rebounds (11.7), steals (2.7), blocks (1.6) and field goal percentage (.492). This is Kelley's first C-USA Player of the Week honor.

Jackson picks up back-to-back C-USA Freshman of the Week honors after averaging 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She also shot 30 percent from the field and was flawless from the free throw (6-of-6) line during the week. After seeing her streak of double digit scoring games end with only six points against Nicholls State, Jackson scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds against SEC foe Ole Miss. She followed that up with an 11-point, four-rebound effort in Tech's win over UL-Lafayette. This is Jackson's second consecutive C-USA Freshman of the Week honor.
