Tulsa Hosts Colorado State on Saturday; Doubleheader Begins at Noon

Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa men's and women's basketball teams will host a doubleheader on Saturday, Dec. 8. The TU men will face TCU beginning at noon, while the women host Colorado State at approximately 2:30 pm. Fans can bring a new toy valued at $10, and receive a voucher for free admission to both games on Saturday.
The toys collected will be donated to the Supporters of Families with Sickle Cell Disease to help support the organization's education and therapeutic recreation programs.
The Hurricane women have won their last two contests for a 2-5 mark this season. Taleya Mayberry is posting a team-leading 21.4 points per game and has 23 assists, while Tiffani Couisnard averages a double-double with 11.3 ppg and 10.1 rebounds, and has team-bests of 15 steals and nine blocks. Kelsee Grovey adds 9.4 ppg and Loren McDaniel posts 7.4 ppg.
Colorado State won its second and third games of the season, but has lost the last four contests for a 2-5 record. Caitlin Duffy has a team-best 11.2 points per game, while Sam Martin adds 8.3 ppg. Kara Spotton pulls down a team-high 6.0 rebounds per contest, while LaDeyah Forte has 26 assists and 11 steals, and Meghan Heimstra has 13 blocks.
This will be the seventh meeting between the Rams and the Golden Hurricane, as CSU leads the series 4-2. The last meeting was a year ago when Colorado State earned an 87-68 victory in Fort Collins, Colo.
