Conference USA women's basketball produces a flawless 6-0 record in Saturday match-ups. Rice was first to pick up a win as the Owls defeated McNeese State, 60-51, in Houston. East Carolina closed out the Navy Classic with a 64-49 victory over Monmouth and SMU routed UT-Pan AM, 71-35, in Dallas.
Southern Miss extended their winning streak to four games with a 61-59 win at home against Mississippi State. Marshall earned a 59-51 win over Presbyterian in the EKU Comfort Suites.
UTEP bounced back after suffering its first loss of the season Wednesday as the Miners slid by Texas State, 88-81, in El Paso to wrap up Saturday in C-USA.

Sophomore F Destynee Hives-McCray posted her second double-double of the season with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, and sophomore G Kristin Askew scored a career-high 14 points. |

For the second consecutive day, redshirt senior C Britny Edwards notched a double-double as she poured in a game-high 18 points and had 10 rebounds. She was named to the Navy Classic All-Tournament Team. |

Senior Tanecka Carey and freshman Jerontay Clemons paced the Lady Eagles with 17 points apiece while Jamierra Faulkner added another double-double with 11 points and 11 assists. |

Junior F Kayla Thornton and senior F Anete Steinberga led the Miners with 29 and 20 points, respectively. Thorton also had 11 rebounds for one of two double-doubles of the game. |

Sophomore G Shay Weaver recorded five 3pointers for the second straight game in a row as she tied a career-high with 19 points after shooting 6-of-8 from the field, while going 5-for-6 in 3-pointers. She earned All-Tournament honors after finishing the weekend with 36 points after going 12-of-21 from the field and 10-of-17 in three-pointers. |
