Conference USA has named Co-Players of the Week as Yasmeen Thompson of Houston and UAB's Karisma Chapman share this week's honor. Southern Miss' Jerontay Clemons takes Freshman of the Week accolades. Thompson averaged a double-double with 16.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as the team won the David Jones Classic. Chapman accounted for 16 points and six rebounds per game plus had 11 steals and seven assists in the team's three wins last week, including two at the Samford Thanksgiving Classic. Clemons averaged 16.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to earn MVP honors in the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic.

Thompson averaged a double-double with 16.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game while shooting 84 percent (21-of-25) from the field. She posted a career-best 21 points to go with 14 rebounds and two blocks at McNeese State. The Philadelphia, native followed up with nine points and 10 rebounds while going 4-of-5 from the field against Southeast Missouri in the team's first game of the David Jones Classic Friday. Thompson had a game-high 21 points while shooting a perfect 8-of-8 from the field to lead Houston past Northwestern State. She also had six rebounds and two blocks in the tournament title game. Thompson shot an impressive 92.0 percent from the field during tournament play, hitting 12-of-13 shots. On the season, Thompson leads Conference USA in rebounds (11.7 rpg) and field goal percentage (.732) while also averaging 11.5 points per game. This is Thompson's first career weekly honor.

Chapman led her team in scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 steals in the team's two wins at the Samford Thanksgiving Classic last week. She knocked down a career-high 15-for-15 from the free throw line in a 21-point performance against Tennessee State Friday. The junior shot 50 percent over the course of three games last week and hit double figures in scoring in each of the three contests with 11 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and 21 points in the win against Tennessee State and 16 against Alabama State. For the season, Chapman is averaging 13.9 ppg and 6.9 rpg while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 82.9 percent from the charity stripe. Chapman picks up her second career and first of the season Player of the Week honor.

Clemons finished the weekend averaging 16.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to earn MVP honors in the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic. She scored a team-high 16 points in the opening game against Savannah State to go with five steals and four assists while shooting 50 percent. In the championship game, Clemons registered her first double-double with 16 points and a team-best 11 rebounds. The freshman also handed out four assists and had two steals. For the season, she's averaging team bests of 14.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg as well as shooting 41.5 percent from the floor. Clemons picks up her first career Freshman of the Week accolade.
