IRVING, Texas - After becoming the first player in C-USA history and sixth in NCAA history to record consecutive triple doubles, senior NY HAMMONDS of Charlotte earned her first Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor. SHANEESE BAILEY of Florida Atlantic also picked up her first Freshman of the Week accolade after averaging a double-double for the Owls. Hammonds finished the week with 12.5 assist, 11.0 point and 10.5 rebound per game averages as Charlotte picked up home wins over FIU and Marshall. Bailey accounted for 10.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game as FAU collected a pair of road wins at Marshall and UTSA.

NY HAMMONDS, CHARLOTTE | 5-5, SR., G | CONCORD, N.C.

Hammonds capped the home portion of her collegiate career by registering back-to-back triple-doubles in wins over FIU and Marshall. Hammonds became the first C-USA player and just the sixth in NCAA history to record consecutive triple-doubles, becoming the first to accomplish the feat since 2010. She averaged 12.5 assists, 11.0 points and 10.5 rebounds last week, including a solid 25-to-4 assist-to-turnover ratio. Hammonds started the week with 10 points, a career-high 11 rebounds and a career-best 14 assists against FIU on Wednesday, Feb. 26. She became the first Charlotte player with a triple-double since 1982 and it was only the second in program history. The Concord, N.C., native then chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists against Marshall on Saturday, March 1. This is Hammonds' first C-USA Player of the Week honor.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SHANEESE BAILEY, FLORIDA ATLANTIC | 5-9, G | CALLAHAN, FLA.

Bailey averaged a double-double for the week with 10.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 (6-for-12) from the field. She scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 15-rebounds in the team's 87-68 win at Marshall on Wednesday, Feb. 26. She made seven consecutive free throws and hit all three attempted field goals. The Callahan, Fla., native led the Owls with eight rebounds and scored seven points in FAU's 71-69 victory at UTSA on Saturday, March 1. This is her first Freshman of the Week honor.
