UTEP hit three-straight from behind the arc coming out of halftime and built as much as a 12-point advantage in the second half before the UAB stormed back for a thrilling 61-57 victory on Sunday at the Don Haskins Center. UTEP saw its nine-game win streak snapped as UAB became the first team to beat the Miners at home this season, breaking UTEP's 10-0 record in El Paso, Texas.
SMU improved to 4-0 in Conference USA play for the first time since the 1999-2000 season with a 73-51 win against Rice in Moody Coliseum. Tulane used a balanced attack to earn a 72-62 win over Memphis at Devlin Fieldhouse. The Green Wave played without their leading scorer, Whitney Bibbins (illness). East Carolina used the last three minutes of the game to go on a 10-0 run and hold off Tulsa, 69-63, in an exciting back-and-forth affair at Minges Coliseum. Houston overcame a slow start to race to claim its first road victory of the season at Marshall, 71-63 at Cam Henderson Center. Southern Miss snapped a two-game losing streak with a 62-57 win over UCF in Orlando. The win was the first time since 2008 that USM defeated UCF in Orlando.

Houston (8-8, 2-1) picked up its first road win of the season. Senior Porsche Landry scored a game-high 24 points while dishing out five assists and grabbing five rebounds for the Cougars (8-8, 2-1).
Marshall (6-11, 0-4) was led by Erica Woods' 14 points and six rebounds. The Thundering Herd led 33-30 at intermission but was forced into 24 turnovers. |
| at East Carolina 69, Tulsa 63 |
Senior Celeste Stewart and junior Kristine Mial led East Carolina (12-5, 2-2) with 14 points each. The Pirates hit 14-of-17 free throws (82.4%).
Sophomore Kadan Brady led Tulsa (6-11, 1-3) for the first time this season with 16 points. She was followed by senior Taleya Mayberry with 14 and Kelsee Grovey added 10 points. Tulsa out rebounded ECU, 29-27. |

Southern Miss (10-7, 2-2) snapped a two-game losing streak and picked up its first win over UCF in Orlando since 2008. Junior Jamierra Faulkner scored a game-high 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while senior Tanecka Carey finished with 14 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line.
Freshman Briahanna Jackson netted a team-high 21 points while senior Kayli Keough came off the bench for 10 points and Erika Jones collected a game-high 14 rebounds for UCF (6-11, 0-3). |

Tulane (14-3, 3-1) had four players in double figures as Jamie Kaplan (14), Danielle Dlagg (12), Tiffany Dale (12) and Olivia Grayson (11) shot 53.8 percent from 3-point range.
Senior Nicole Dickson scored 30 or more points for the fifth time this season as she netted a game-best 31 against the Green Wave. She also had nine rebounds and four steals off the bench. |

SMU (13-4, 4-0) picked up its fifth consecutive wins, four-straight in C-USA action. Junior transfer Keena Maya led all scorers with 25 points, including 17 in the first half. Senior Akil Simpson had her best game of the season scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season and 13th for her career.
Junior Jessica Kuster led Rice (9-8, 1-3) with team highs of 16 points and eight rebounds. Christal Porter also added 14 points and matched Kuster's eight boards. |
| UAB 61, at UTEP 57 |
UAB (12-4, 3-0) snapped UTEP's 10-game home winning streak. Juniors Karisma Chapman and Ashley Grimes led the Blazers with 15 and 12 points, respectively. UAB's six turnovers mark the second fewest in league history. The team led 30-24 at half.
Junior Kayla Thornton had a game high 20 points and had 11 rebounds for UTEP (14-2, 2-1). Sophomore Chrishauna Parker's 11 rebounds marked a game-best. The Miners crushed UAB on the boards, 53-31, 20 were offensive. |
