Men's Tennis Adds One Recruit

Rice men's tennis coach Ron Smarr has announced that Justin To has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Owls beginning in the fall of 2011. The top rated junior from Hong Kong, To currently attends the Weil Academy in Ojai, California. He was a member of the Hong Kong Group II Davis Cup training squad and played #1 singles for Hong Kong in both the World Junior Tennis and Junior Davis Cup competitions. He has a career-best ITF ranking of 259. The Owls will open their 2011 spring season on January 18 when they host Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 2 pm at Jake Hess Tennis Complex.
