ORLANDO, Fla. - The No. 23-ranked Tulsa men's tennis team advances to the program's seventh-straight Conference USA Championship after eliminating UAB, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex. Tulsa extends its winning streak to seven matches and winners of 11 of its last 12 outings. TU is set to play for its sixth overall and second consecutive title on Monday at 9 a.m. ET.

The Golden Hurricane singles hit the courts first to avoid potential weather in the Orlando area. Tulsa scored the first two points as the No. 3 and No. 4 singles positions. Senior and 85th-ranked Ashley Watling defeated sophomore Chris Helliar of UAB with identical 6-1 set scores at No. 3. At No. 4, junior Grant Ive handed a 6-4, 6-2 loss to UAB senior Daniel Moser. The Golden Hurricane dropped the No. 1 singles point as UAB senior Danny Manlow upset No. 103 Japie De Klerk, 6-1, 6-3, giving UAB it's only point. Junior Tristan Jackson and freshman Alejandro Espejo wrapped up the match for Tulsa win wins at the final two spots.

UAB wrapped up the season with an overall record of 17-9.
