ORLANDO, Fla. - After a 17-hour weather delay, No. 4 seed UAB took 10-minutes to wrap up its match, 4-1, with No. 5 seed Tulane Saturday morning at the UCF Tennis Complex in Orlando, Fla. UAB moves to 17-8 on the season and will face top seed Tulsa Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the 2012 Conference USA Men's Tennis Championship.

After having his match pulled off the courts Friday afternoon with the scored tied at 4-4 in the third set , sophomore Chris Helliar needed a few serves to end the set and match. Helliar defeated senior Shaye Wali of Tulane, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4 for the victory.

The Blazers (17-8) opened the match with three straight points before the Green Wave scored the first. Senior Daniel Moser picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win over junior Adam Bernstein at No. 4 singles while the next two to score for UAB was No. 6 and No. 2 singles. Junior Tom Puetz defeated sophomore Takuma Ohashi in three-sets, 1-6, 6-1, 6-3, and junior David Zimmerman downed junior Joe Young, Tulane, 7-5, 7-6 (3). The Green Wave recorded their first and only point at the No. 5 singles with junior Rodrigo Rappaccioli edging sophomore Lucas Dirube, 6-2, 6-3.Tulane ends the season at 11-11.
