Men's Tennis Team On Road For Three Matches This Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB men's tennis team has a busy weekend ahead as the Blazers will play three matches in as many days on their trip to San Antonio, Texas. The Blazers (6-3) will play New Mexico State in their first match Friday at 11:00 a.m. before taking on host UT-San Antonio Saturday morning and then wrapping up the weekend Sunday morning against Pac 10 foe Oregon. "These will be challenging matches for us," said UAB head coach Derek Tarr. "All three of the teams we will play are quality opponents. " The Blazers have won their last two dual matches, defeating Jacksonville State (7-0) and Winthrop (4-3) and three of their last four. New Mexico State, UAB's Friday foe, is also 6-3 on the season. UT-San Antonio enters the weekend with a 4-4 mark while Oregon comes to San Antonio with a dual record of 10-3.
