Junior Dominique Harmath of Rice and Southern Miss sophomore Matt Frost have been named Conference USA Women's and Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week, respectively. Harmath went undefeated at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in singles as she posted her first win over a top 50 player in defeating 48th-ranked Mia Vriens of Florida State. Frost finished the week with a 3-0 record in singles including a come-from-behind victory over Olivier Borsos of 24th-ranked LSU, set scores were 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.

MATT FROST, SOUTHERN MISS
Sophomore / Hertford, UK
Frost finished the week with a 3-0 record in singles and 2-1 mark in doubles play. He ended his first win of the season with a come-from-behind effort against Olivier Borsos of 24th-ranked LSU. He recorded set scores of 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 against Borsos. Frost then followed with a pair of straight set wins against Alex Sundberg of Jacksonville State and Dimitry Kozionov of Nicholls. The sophomore partnered with Andrew Goodwin at No. 1 doubles and posted a 2-1 record. This is Frost's second career Athlete of the Week honor (2012) and first for the season.

Harmath went undefeated at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in singles action in Waco, Texas. She posted her first win over a top 50 player in defeating 48th-ranked Mia Vriens of No. 36 Florida State, cutting the Seminoles lead to 3-2. The sophomore also defeated No. 21 Texas Tech's Kenna Kilgo, 6-0, 7-6 (7), at No. 1 singles.
