SMU (15-1-0, 7-1-0) earned the Conference USA regular season title and top seed at the C-USA Championship for the first time since 2006. The Mustangs were led by C-USA Coach of the Year TIM McCLEMENTS and five all-conference selections. SMU junior ARTHUR IVO shares Co-MVP and Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors with South Carolina senior BLAKE BRETTSCHNEIDER. Both were also selected to the All-Conference USA first team as the duo ranked among the league's top scorers in conference play. Brettschneider tallied 12 points in eight C-USA matches, while Ivo scored 11 points for the Mustangs.

SMU forward JUAN CASTILLO was named 2010 C-USA Freshman of the Year with a conference-best nine goals on the season. Marshall sophomore goalkeeper DANIEL WITHROW, the 2009 Freshman of the Year, earned C-USA Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as a place on the all-conference first team this season.

UCF (11-3-3, 4-1-3) earned the No. 2 seed and the other first-round bye in this year's C-USA Championship. The Knights placed three players on the All-Conference USA first team, including the league's leading scorer in NIK ROBSON. The sophomore scored 25 points during the regular season on eight goals and nine assists. Robson was joined on the first team by juniors KEVAN GEORGE and WARREN CREAVALLE.

Tulsa also produced three first-team selections out of their five total all-conference honorees. Senior ASHLEY McINNES and junior defender JUSTIN CHAVEZ are making repeat appearances on the first-team, while senior defender HUNTER CHRISTIANSEN moved up from a third-team selection a year ago.

South Carolina senior defender WILL TRAYNOR joins teammate Brettschneider on the first team, while UAB senior defender CURTIS USHEDO rounds out the first team. The Blazers joined Marshall, SMU, Tulsa and UCF with five all-conference selections total. SMU also placed three student-athletes on the All-Freshman Team, while Kentucky, Marshall and South Carolina each had a pair of freshmen recognized.

Many of these awards winners will be competing in the 16th Annual C-USA Men's Soccer Championship, which is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tenn. A champion will be crowned Sunday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. CST with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Sunday's match will be televised live by CBS College Sports.
