IRVING, Texas - Four Tulsa players found the net during the Conference USA opener against South Carolina, giving the Golden Hurricane three points in the league standings. Cristian Mata and Kyle Cumings both scored a goal and had an assist for Tulsa as six TU players registered points.

Four Tulsa players scored a goal to lead the Golden Hurricane to a 4-0 win over Conference USA foe South Carolina Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved to 5-3 on the season and 1-0 in C-USA, while the Gamecocks fell to 3-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.

Cristian Mata put TU on the board at the 23:04 mark as he chipped in a goal over the keeper's head off a pass from Kyle Cumings. Bryce Follensbee gave the Hurricane a two-goal cushion in the 41st minute as he scored from eight yards out from Cristian.

Tulsa scored two quick goals in the final five minutes of the contest, including a goal from Kyle Cumings in the 86th minute and Akeil Barrett in the 88th minute, with Cristian and Omar Mata picking up the assists, respectively.

Barrett had a team-best five shots, while Cristian Mata added four attempts and Follensbee had three attempts. Mark Pais logged all 90 minutes in goal, picked up three saves and earned his third shutout on the season. Tulsa Men's Soccer PageSouth Carolina Men's Soccer Page
