IRVING, Texas - Conference USA teams went undefeated to open the 2010 men's soccer season, with two teams posting shutouts and another taking a double-overtime victory. UCF took the first win of the 2010 campaign as the Knights claimed a 5-0 decision over Jacksonville, with Memphis following by defeating Belmont, 4-0, at home. SMU finished opening night in exciting fashion by coming from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Missouri State in double overtime, 3-2.

C-USA MEN'S SOCCER QUICK SHOTS
• UCF junior Spencer Scott (Palm City, Fla.) scored the first goal of the 2010 C-USA Men's Soccer season with his game-winner in the 12th minute, when he followed a blocked shot by Nicholas Keown-Robson (Auckland, New Zealand). Junior Cameron Cooksey (Marietta, Ga.) kept the momentum with his first goal of the match in the 23rd minute, assisted by Keown-Robson for his second assist of the game. Keown-Robson netted his first of the year on a penalty kick in the 40th minute, which he burried into the lower-left corner. Senior Yaron Bacher (Atlanta, Ga.) amazed the crowd in the 77th minute with his 40-yard blast that connected with the top-left mesh. Cooksey netted the final goal of the night in the 89th minute to finalize the 5-0 win.
• Parker Duncan (Johnson City, Tenn.) started the goal-scoring frenzy and netted the game-winner with his 15th minute follow-up of a JJ Greer (Cordova, Tenn.) header. Hugo Mondragon (Houston, Texas) posted his fourth career goal as a Tiger in the 30th minute. Freshmen Liam Collins (Skibbereen, Ireland) and Austin Gross (Tulsa, Okla.) each tallied second-half goals in their collegiate debut. Sophomore Jordan Leedle (Franklin, Tenn.) picked up his first career victory, in addition to his first career clean sheet, for Memphis.
• SMU's Zach Barnes (Flower Mound, Texas) started the Mustangs' comeback with a goal in the 46th minute. With time running out, freshman Juan Castillo (Kingwood, Texas) netted his first collegiate goal in the 88th minute to tie the game and force overtime. In the 103rd minute, sophomore TJ Nelson (Garland, Texas) found the back of the net to give the Mustangs the double-overtime victory.
• The Thundering Herd outshot Xavier by a 21-3 tally, but was unable to find the back of the net during the double-overtime contest. Marshall returns to action on Friday as the team travels to face Oakland.
