IRVING, Texas - Tulsa knocked off No. 3 New Mexico, 2-1, Friday night at the Hurricane Classic in Tulsa, Okla., to improve to 2-0 for the season. Freshman Bryce Follensbee netted the game winner for TU in the 92nd minute. No. 17 UAB earned a 1-1 draw against no. 8 Charlotte behind Kofi Gyawu's third goal of the season. FIU picked up its second win in as many matches against North Florida behind a pair of goals from Quentin Albrecht.

Tulsa knocked off No. 3 New Mexico, 2-1, Friday night at the Hurricane Classic in Tulsa, Okla., to improve to 2-0 for the season. Freshman Bryce Follensbee netted the game winner for TU in the 92nd minute. Sophomore Akeil Barrett leveled the match in the 28th minute with a penalty kick conversion. 17 UAB 1, at 8 Charlotte 1

UAB senior forward Kofi Gyawu scored his third goal in as many games to help the Blazers to a 1-1 tie at Charlotte on Friday night in front of 1,775 fans at Transamerica Field. The contest was as a rematch from last year's NCAA Tournament second round game, which NCAA runner-up Charlotte won, 3-1. Junior goalkeeper Raphael Ville made 10 saves to help UAB earn the draw. FIU 2, at North Florida 1

FIU earned a 2-1 win at North Florida Friday, improving to 2-0 for the season. The Panthers put 11 of their 20 shots on goal and earned nine corner kicks. 4 USF 1, 20 SMU 0

The No. 20 SMU men's soccer team fell, 1-0, to No. 4 USF in the Hurricane Classic at Hurricane Stadium on Friday afternoon. The teams combined for 33 fouls and four yellow cards. SMU was forced to play with 10 men after sophomore Andrew Morales picked up yellow cards in the 58th and 67th minutes. 25 Northwestern 2, Kentucky 1 (OT)

Despite a goal from senior midfielder Matt Lodge, No. 25 Northwestern netted a goal in the 96th minute to lift NU to a 2-1 overtime win over the Kentucky men's soccer team during the opening round of the Gamecock Classic, hosted by South Carolina, on a steamy Friday night at Eugene Stone Stadium. 15 St. John's 2, at South Carolina 0

South Carolina suffered a 2-0 loss to No. 15 St. John's Friday in its opening match of the 2012 Gamecock Classic. Junior forward Bradlee Baladez and sophomore midfielder Braeden Troyer led the South Carolina attack with three shots each, with Troyer posting two on frame.
