IRVING, Texas - Tulsa won its season-opener in emphatic fashion Saturday with a 4-0 win over UMKC. Freshman Bryce Follensbee became the fourth C-USA player to score two goals in a match during the opening weekend as league teams improved to 6-1-1 for the season.

Tulsa dominated UMKC Saturday night and captured a 4-0 victory in the season opener at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Jake Dobkins, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., punched in the game-winner in the 68th minute as freshman defender Marcus Jordan picked up the assist. Just over 10 minutes later freshman Bryce Follensbee recorded his first career goal as he went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and scored from the right side.
Freshman Cristian Mata drilled in a goal from 45 yards out as he one-timed a clear by the goalkeeper for his first career goal at the 82:40 mark, and Follensbee scored again in the 87th minute with classmate Bradley Bourgeois picking up the assist.
