Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa's fifth-ranked men's soccer team will host New Mexico in an exhibition contest on Friday, Aug. 20th beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The TU men have had a short week to prepare, as the first practices of the season got underway on Tuesday.

The Golden Hurricane starting lineup has not yet been determined, but College Soccer News Pre-Season All-Americans Ashley McInnes and Austin Neil are expected to make a big impact up front, while C-USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Justin Chavez and senior Chris Taylor will anchor the defense.

TU returns 11 letterwinners, including seven starters, and six squad members from a year ago. The Golden Hurricane concluded the 2009 season with a 15-5-2 overall record, advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, and concluded the year ranked No. 7 by all five national polls. TU also earned its third-straight regular season and tournament Conference USA titles.

New Mexico posted a 12-7-1 mark in 2009 and finished second in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation league. The Lobos return 17 letterwinners, including Michael Green, the returning scoring leader from a year ago with five goals and four assists for 14 points.
