C-USA Men’s Golfer of the Week – Clark Robinson, Marshall, Fr., South Windsor, Conn.
Robinson took home individual medalist honors with a 3-under 210 at the Patriot Intercollegiate in Lorton, Va. He is the Herd’s first individual winner since Bosten Miller won the UK Bluegrass Fall Invite, Sept. 18, 2011. The freshman golfer propelled the Herd to their second consecutive tournament title, marking the first time since 1990 that Marshall has won two events in a season. During the first day of competition, Robinson shot a pair of 1-over 72 rounds and entered the final day tied for 10th place. In the final round, he shot a personal-best, team- and tournament-low of 5-under 66 – the second-lowest all-time score in Marshall – to jump to the top of the leaderboard. This is Robinson’s first Golfer of the Week award for his career.
