BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A pair of UAB men's golfers make up half of the semifinals at the 2012 State Match Play Championship, which is being held at the Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Ala.

Junior Thomas Sutton and sophomore Michael Ulmer each won their quarterfinal match on Friday, and will square off on Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. The winner of the match will play for the state crown on Saturday afternoon.

Sutton, who defeated another UAB teammate, Hunter Hawkins, in the Round of 16, also advanced to the quarterfinals of the North & South Quarterfinals back in July.

Casey O'Toole, a senior a Samford, will take on Haymes Snedeker, the older brother of PGA Tour player Brandt Snedeker in the other half of the bracket.
