Men's Golf Releases Fall Tournament Slate

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis men's golf head coach Grant Robbins released the team's upcoming fall 2013 tournament schedule Wednesday, which will include trips to Alabama, Missouri, North Carolina and East Tennessee.
The Tigers open the fall with Missouri's Columbia Regional Preview, Sept. 16-17, at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo. After a week break, Memphis will then travel to the Shoal Creek Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., for the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, hosted by former Conference USA foe UAB.
The Tigers next take part in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, hosted by East Tennessee State, for the third-straight season at the Blackthorn Club in Jonesborough, Tenn., Oct. 11-13. Memphis will close out the month of October with UNC-Greensboro's Bridgestone Golf Collegiate, Oct. 26-27, at the Grandover Resort East Course in Greensboro, N.C.
Memphis will wrap up its fall slate, Nov. 4-5, at Arkansas State's ASU Fall Beach Classic at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Memphis returns six letterwinners from a team that appeared in their third-straight NCAA Tournament in 2013. The squad includes seniors Will Pearson and Erwan Vieilledent, juniors Cory Gaylord and Alex Hoffman and sophomores Thomas Perrot and John Luke Tyner. The Tigers will also have sophomore transfer Florian Loutre, redshirt freshman Eithel McGowen and true freshmen Kevin Lee and Lars Van Meijel for the 2013-14 team.
