NORMAN, Okla. - The Division I PING All-Region teams have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America and four Conference USA student-athletes were selected.

Brad Smith and Zach Sucher of 2008 C-USA Men's Golf champion UAB were both named to the Southeat Region team, while Tulsa's Nicolas Geyger was a Central Region honoree and SMU's Kelly Kraft garnered a South Central selection.

Sucher was named the 2008 C-USA Golfer of the Year and also earned medalist honors at the 2008 C-USA Championship, with a nine-under-par 207 for the three-round tournament. The junior was a two-time Conference USA Golfer of the Week selection this spring.

Smith was named to the All-Conference USA first team and along with Sucher, is still in action at the 2008 NCAA Men's Golf Championship.

Geyger earns all-Central Region accolades for the second consecutive season. He tallied a team-best 73.3-stroke average in 32 rounds this year and finished among the top-20 in seven of 11 tournaments this season, including five times in the top-10.

Kraft, the 2008 C-USA Freshman of the Year, tied for 14th place at the C-USA Championship and was the only rookie to earn an all-conference nod. Earlier in the spring, Kraft earned medalist honors at the 23rd Annual Louisiana Classics and posted two runner-up finishes.

The PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked in the top 75 according to Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their region's top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are eligible for PING All-America honors.
