BURLINGTON, Iowa --- The East Carolina men's golf team fired a 19-over 307 Monday to fall from eighth-place to 13th after two rounds at the Golfweek Conference Challenge being held at the par 72, 7,360-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Club.

The course proved to be much more difficult on Monday with 10 of the 15 teams shooting over-par. Campbell posted the lowest team score of the day at five-under 283 to move into a second-place tie with North Carolina State at four-under. First-place Iowa has a 19-stroke cushion over the Camels and Wolfpack at 23-under.

The Hawkeyes' Vince India holds a one-stroke lead over teammate Brad Hopfinger and Nevada's Scott Smith. India carded a six-under 66 Monday to move to eight-under for the tournament. Smith shot three-under and Hopfinger was even on day two as both players are seven-under through 36 holes.

ECU junior Harold Varner and redshirt freshman Ryan Eibner each shot three-over during round two. Varner dropped from ninth-place to 23rd at three-over, while Eibner moved up seven places to 49th at eight-over.

Adam Stephenson fired a seven-over 79 to fall to 47th. Warren Straub shot six-over Monday and fell to eight-over, while David Watkins also shot seven-over to drop to nine-over overall.

The final round of Golfweek's Conference Challenge will start with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. EDT Tuesday. Live scoring will be available on www.golfstat.com.
