Zach Line continues to make his mark on SMU and Conference USA as he enters his senior season. He averaged 122.4 yards per game and scored 17 touchdowns in 10 games last season before suffering a foot injury. This fall he will attempt to lead SMU to an unprecedented fourth consecutive bowl game.

Overview: Named to the Maxwell Award Watch List
2011: Named first-team All-C-USA...Suffered a foot injury in the Navy game and missed the last three games of the season... Still led Conference USA and ranked seventh in the nation in rushing at 122.4 yards a game and 5.88 yards per rush... Posted eight 100-yard rushing games in 10 games played... Ranked ninth nationally and first in C-USA in scoring with 10.20 points per game... Set a school-record for rushing touchdowns in a game with five against Northwestern State.... Notched 17 rushing TDs on the year... Had 1,224 yards for the year... Also caught 15 passes for 139 yards... Named one of 10 Doak Walker Award semifinalists.
2010: Played in all 14 games, starting 12... Named First-Team All-Conference USA... Rushed for 1,494 yards (11th in the country), which only trails Eric Dickerson for most single-season rushing yards in SMU history... Averaged 6.1 yards per carry and scored 10 touchdowns... Caught 17 passes out of the backfield for 163 yards... Rushed for 122 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns against UAB... With 17 carries against TCU, totaled 139 yards a touchdown... Scored two touchdowns on 23 carries for 177 yards at Tulane... Had 106 yards against Houston... Notched a season-high 202 rushing yards and a score against Marshall... At East Carolina, tallied a pair of touchdowns and 123 yards... Rushed for 103 yards on 17 carries in the Armed Forces Bowl against Army.
2009: Saw time in all 13 games, starting six... SMU's short-yardage back... Scored seven TDs on 49 carries... Rushed for a season-high 34 yards and two TDs against Navy... His two-rushing-TD performance was the first at SMU by a freshman since 2005... Had 189 yards rushing on the year and added 10 receptions for 68 yards.
Prep: Had a team-high 154 tackles with eight forced fumbles and four recoveries... Rushed for 1,723 yards and 17 TDs... Also threw for three TDs... An All-State pick.
