DALLAS (SMU) - On the heels of its third straight bowl appearance, SMU football will have all 12 games on television in 2012, it was announced today. Fox Sports Net, CBS Sports Network, CSS and Time Warner Texas will combine to broadcast the entire slate.
FSN has six SMU football broadcasts, including the season-opener at Baylor on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 5:30 p.m. FSN will also carry five home games at Ford Stadium, including the matchup against former Southwest Conference rival Texas A&M on Sept. 15 at 2:30 p.m. Two weeks later, FSN covers the Battle For The Iron Skillet versus TCU on Sept. 29. The network also has three Conference USA matchups; Houston on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., defending C-USA Champion Southern Miss on Nov. 10 and the regular-season finale against Tulsa on Nov. 24.
CBS Sports Network has the rematch of the 2010 Conference USA title game as SMU visits UCF on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.
SMU has a pair of C-USA road outings on CSS; a noon kick at Tulane on Oct. 13 and at Rice on Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m.
Time Warner Texas has three games beginning with the home-opener against Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. The network has a road game at UTEP on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. and SMU's Homecoming matchup with Memphis on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m.
The C-USA Championship game will then be played on Dec. 1.
