NEW ORLEANS - Tulane athletics and Conference USA announced the kickoff times and television schedule for the 2012 football season, it was released on Thursday.

The Green Wave will play on television seven times this upcoming season, including five home games in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Tulane opens the season on national television against Rutgers on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network in the Dome.

The 2012 football season marks the second year of an agreement between Conference USA and Fox Sports Media Group for national television rights to a variety of marquee Conference USA events, including a minimum of 20 regular-season football games. Through two dozen owned and affiliated networks, FOX Sports Networks (FSN) programming reaches more than 85 million homes across the country.

Tulane will also host Ole Miss on Sept. 22 on Fox Sports Net at 11 a.m. CT. The Green Wave will also appear on Fox Sports Net twice on the road, including at Tulsa on Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. CT and at Houston on Nov. 24.

This season marks the eighth year of C-USA's partnership with CBS Sports Network that includes significant national and regional exposure for football, men's and women's basketball and other C-USA sports. CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) is the 24-hour cable destination of CBS Sports and is available to more than 99 million homes nationwide.

Home games against Louisiana-Monroe (Cox Sports Television - CST), SMU (Charter Sports Southeast- CSS) and East Carolina (Cox Sports Television - CST) are also televised. The ULM and ECU games will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT, while the SMU game is scheduled for Noon CT.

Tulane's two non-televised home games, UAB on Oct. 27 and Rice on Nov. 3, will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Game times for the Green Wave's contests at Louisiana-Lafayette and UTEP have not yet been determined.
