Houston, Texas - Former Houston Quarterback Case Keenum:

On how it feels to have a chance to play in Houston:
"It's awesome. I'm extremely excited for so many reasons. I find new reason everyday that God is working in (my) life. It hasn't sunk in yet, but it is getting close. The further along we get, it will be really good."

On how he follows T.J. Yates who played for the Texans last season as a rookie:
"I remember that situation and we were in the same thing the season before last (2010). Those situations are always weird, and that is why a backup quarterback is a tough position. I'm going to go out there are compete, try to get better, and work on being a NFL quarterback."

On his thought process during the NFL Draft:
"It was a weird day. I did not have a good feeling about anything. I knew I wanted to go to the Texans but if you asked me if this was where I'd be with them two weeks ago, I wouldn't have care where and if I got drafted (or signed as a free agent). You want to get drafted, but how it happened (in the end) was perfect. I could not be happier."

On Texans' head coach Gary Kubiak:
"Coach Kubiak is one of the best in the league, especially at the quarterback position. In the 30 minute work out I had with them, I got better. I'm really excited to spend more than 30 minutes on the field and in the film room (with him). I can't wait to work with him and the entire coaching staff. It just felt right over there."
