Conference USA teams were 4-0 in Thursday night action, with all four winning at home. UCF junior Isaiah Sykes recorded a triple-double as the Knights defeated Stetson, 83-66. Tulane and UAB remain undefeated at home as both earned victories for the day. The Tigers beat visiting Lipscomb, 62-56, with 18 steals in the game.

C-USA MEN'S BASKETBALL SHOOTING STARS

  • Junior G/F Isaiah Sykes (Detroit, Mich.) recorded the third triple-double in UCF men's basketball history with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Knights to an 83-66 victory over Stetson. The Knights never trailed as they recorded their 13th-straight win over the Hatters. UCF shot 56.9 percent overall and 41.7 percent from 3-point range for the game. Senior F Keith Clanton (Orlando, Fla.), making his 100th consecutive start, led the Knights with 18 points to go with four steals.
  • Sykes' triple-double was the first by a Knight since Kingsley Edwards in 2005. It was also the second in C-USA this season (Marshall's DeAndre Kane registered the other) and 14th in conference history.
  • Tulane improved to 9-0 at Devlin Fieldhouse this season with a 69-54 win over Pepperdine. Junior F Josh Davis (Raleigh, N.C.) and senior G Jordan Callahan (Marietta, Ga.) combined to score 39 to claim the championship of the Tulane Classic at Devlin Fieldhouse. Davis posted 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to earn tournament MVP honors, while Callahan poured in 20 points and earned a spot on the all-tournament team. Callahan knocked down four 3-pointers in the win and moved into second-place on Tulane's career list. Sophomore G Ricky Tarrant (Pleasant Grove, Ala.) added 13 points and six assists to also earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
  • UAB junior F Rod Rucker (Elberton, Ga.) tossed in 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Blazers to a 76-69 win over Louisiana-Monroe. Junior G Preston Purifoy (Conway, Ark.) came off the bench to score 12, along with classmate Robert Williams (Greenville, Miss.). Junior G Jordan Swing (Birmingham, Ala.) and senior G Terence Jones (Baltimore, Md.) added 11 apiece. The Blazers improve to 5-0 at Bartow Arena this season.
  • Four Tigers scored in double figures as Memphis defeated Lipscomb, 62-56. Sophomore Adonis Thomas led the way with 18 points. Junior Joe Jackson (Memphis, Tenn.) added 15, while classmate Chris Crawford (Memphis, Tenn.) scored no points but was credited with a career-high seven assists. Freshman Shaq Goodwin (Decatur, Ga.) added 11 points and reserve Geron Johnson (Dayton, Ohio) contributed 10 points.
