UAB junior guard Chad Frazier scored 76 points for the Blazers in three games at the Charleston Classic to earn all-tournament honors and the C-USA Player of the Week award. Rice forward Sean Obi was named the C-USA Freshman of the Week following his first career double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Owls to a win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Awards are chosen by a media panel representing the 16 member schools.

Junior, 6-4, G, Charlotte, N.C.

Frazier started off the 2013 Charleston Classic with two-straight 30-plus point performances, scoring 34 against New Mexico and 32 vs. Nebraska on his way to being named to the All-Tournament Team. It marked the first time since 2008 that a UAB player has scored over 30 points in back-to-back games. Frazier, who has scored in double figures in every game this year, was 19-of-32 (59 percent) from the field, 7-of-12 (58 percent) from 3-point range and 21-of-24 (88 percent) in the first two games of the Charleston Classic - a 97-94 double-overtime loss to No. 19 New Mexico and an 87-74 win against Nebraska. Frazier's 76 total points scored were the second-most in Charleston Classic history. This is Frazier's first career C-USA Player of the Week honor.

Freshman, 6-9, F, Kaduna, Nigeria

Obi recorded his first career double-double in Rice's road win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 16 points and 11 rebounds. It was his 11th rebound that sealed the 63-61 win, as it came on an intentionally-missed field goal in the final second to give Rice the lead for good. Obi sank 7-of-9 field goal attempts to lead the Owls. He also tied for the team lead against Princeton with nine points on 3-of-7 shooting and three free throws. Obi swatted both of the Owls' blocks in the game and led the team in rebounding, with nine boards. This is his first C-USA Freshman of the Week honor.
