"This is a tremendous honor and I am excited to begin work with this prestigious group," MacLeod said. "As a conference administrator, I understand the thorough preparation required from the committee. As a former college basketball student-athlete and coach, I'm thrilled for the opportunity to contribute to a sport I love."

In her role now, she oversees sports services, compliance, academic and business affairs and general oversight of league operations.

She was named Tulsa's director of athletics in 1995 and remained in that position for 10 years. Before working at Tulsa, MacLeod served as an assistant women's basketball coach at Seattle University for four seasons and also was a sport manager for the 1990 Goodwill Games in Seattle.
