TU Adds Preferred Walk-on Riley Kemmer for 2013-14

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa Head Coach Danny Manning announced the addition of preferred walk-on Riley Kemmer for the 2013-14 season.
Kemmer is a 6'8" forward from Wichita, Kan., who graduated from Wichita Collegiate High School with a 3.65 grade point average and lettered in basketball for three years. He earned Class 4A All-State honors and was selected to play in the Kansas Basketball Association All-Star Game in 2013.
"We're excited about the addition of Riley Kemmer as a preferred walk-on to our basketball program," Manning said. "Riley was a very good player in the state of Kansas and was recruited by some very solid schools. He played for a good high school program and is a very good student. He brings good size and is a very good shooter. We feel like he will have a positive impact on our program in a number of ways, both on and off the court."
Kemmer averaged 18 points and six rebounds per game, while shooting 80 percent from the free throw line. He earned first-team honors in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League in each of his last two seasons.
Kemmer joins Tulsa's incoming 2013-14 class that includes 6'4" junior college guard Marquel Curtis, 6'10", 225-pound junior college forward Lew Evans, 6'5", 185-pound prep school guard Stevie Repichowski and 6'11", 275-pound high school forward Emmanuel Ezechinonso.
